I am distressed to learn that he leaves to mourn his wife Karen, his three daughters and his two grandchildren. I offer my deepest condolences to his family and friends and wish them all the serenity they need to sustain them through this difficult time," said Mr. Coderre.
A lawyer and politician, Jim Prentice lived his entire life in Alberta where he launched his career in federal politics, first as the Member of Parliament for Calgary Centre-North from 2004 to 2010, then as Minister of the Environment and Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development.
