Episode 13 Recap
The home cooks are told that their challenge will revolve around family-style dishes, and better still, they'll be cooking for their actual families! The emotional reunion sees the Top 5 home cooks reunited with their partners, parents, and children. As the winner of the last Pressure Test, Marida gets the choice of one or two partners for the challenge, and picks Tammara to join her. The duo comes out on top, leaving Eric, Kaila, and Mike to the Pressure Test - a 60-minute challenge to prepare a perfect, medium-rare Steak Frites and Béarnaise Sauce. Kaila wins, and Mike, with an undercooked blue steak, is sent home.
MASTERCHEF CANADA airs Mondays at 8 p.m./7 p.m. CT on CTV and CTV GO (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Last night's episode is now available on demand at CTV.ca and the CTV GO app.
Viewers can also catch Mike live on CANADA AM and CP24 BREAKFAST on Tuesday, April 15 as he dishes on his elimination from MASTERCHEF CANADA. Mike will also perform a live cooking demonstration on the MASTERCHEF CANADA 'Redemption Round', this morning on THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW on CTV.
