Steelworkers Approve 3-Year Contract at Radisson Toronto East

TORONTO, July 9 /CNW/ - Unionized workers at the Radisson Hotel Toronto East (Victoria Park and Highway 401) have approved a three-year collective agreement with their employer.

The employees, members of the United Steelworkers (USW) Local 9466, voted 95 per cent in favour of a tentative agreement reached by union and company negotiators.

The new contract provides for a 2.5-per-cent wage increase in the second year, followed by a three-per-cent wage hike and an additional two-cent hourly increase in the third year. The deal also features an improvement in contract language.
