Stephen Hawking at Perimeter Institute on June 20th

WATERLOO, ON, June 7 /CNW/ - On Sunday, June 20, at 4:00pm, Prof. Stephen Hawking will be officially welcomed to Canada by the Honourable Tony Clement, Industry Canada Minister, and to the province by the Honourable Dalton McGuinty, Premier of Ontario. Prof. Hawking will also provide a televised presentation for the Canadian public on the subjects of space, time, matter and the importance of science.

As Prof. Hawking will be at Perimeter Institute to conduct private research activities, there are no interviews.

The June 20th events will be Prof. Hawking's only scheduled appearance.
