Steven Barry joins the Canadian Internet Registration Authority to manage and maintain the .CA domain Français
OTTAWA, Oct. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - The Canadian Internet Registration Authority today announced that Steven Barry has joined the organization in the role of Director of Information Technology. Barry will be responsible for leading the IT team responsible for the .CA domain name registry, a critical component of Canada's national Internet infrastructure. Barry will also manage CIRA's software development and information management efforts, taking responsibility for the delivery of new products and services.
Barry has more than 20 years of experience as an IT executive in both the private and not-for-profit sectors, including tenures at DataKinetics, NAV CANADA, among others. Barry is a graduate of Carleton University and holds industry certifications in software testing and quality assurance.
