Still Half a Million Dollars To Go To Provide Help and Hope
OTTAWA, Dec. 20, 2013 /CNW/ - With only 4 days left of the Christmas Kettle Campaign, The Salvation Army is sitting at only 1 million dollars of the 1.5 million dollar goal for Eastern Ontario.
The Christmas Kettle Campaign will help support individuals and families through 2014 with nutritious meals, emergency food, warm clothing and rent and utility assistance. Reaching our goal will allow us to meet the needs of communities across Eastern Ontario. If we don't meet the goal services will have to be cut at a time when need is growing significantly.
"There are only a few days remaining to help, but I am hopeful that our very generous communities will help meet the need," said Sean Maddox, Area Director for Public Relations, "The funds raised through the campaign helps local individuals and families, that have nowhere else to turn, all year long."
Donations can be made directly at Christmas Kettles, online at FilltheKettle.com at SalvationArmy.ca, by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY or at your local Salvation Army centre.
