Over the past two years WesternOne has acquired businesses in Alberta, in Texas (USA) and in Australia, significantly expanding the geographic reach and project execution capabilities of its British Columbia-based modular construction division, Britco. WesternOne's infrastructure services division, WesternOne Rentals and Sales, has strong growth in Western Canada and is seeking expansion opportunities throughout Canada.

When he was a Member of Parliament, Stockwell Day was appointed by Prime Minister Stephen Harper as Canada's Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Regional Minister for British Columbia, advancing the economic and trade interests of BC. He currently serves on the Board of the Canada India Business Council and is Vice Chair of the Canada China Business Council.

Backgrounder: The Honourable Stockwell Day, PC
From 1986 to 2000, Stockwell Day represented Red Deer North in the Alberta Legislature, where he served in the Progressive Conservative Government in a variety of senior roles, including Chief Whip, Government House Leader, Minister of Labour and Minister of Social Services. From 1997 to 2000 he was Provincial Treasurer (Minister of Finance) and Acting Premier.
In 2000 Stockwell Day won the leadership of the Canadian Alliance and became Leader of Canada's Official Opposition. In the general election that followed soon after, the Canadian Alliance increased the Official Opposition seat count to 66, and increased its popular support by over one million votes.
In 2002, Stockwell Day was appointed Foreign Affairs critic, Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade, as well as Chair of the Subcommittee on Human Rights. In 2003 the Canadian Alliance and the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada merged to become the Conservative Party of Canada.
In 2006 Stockwell Day was appointed Minister of Public Safety and member of the Cabinet Committee on Priorities and Planning. Upon his re-election in 2008, Stockwell Day was appointed Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Regional Minister for British Columbia, advancing the economic and trade interests of BC. He was also appointed Chair of the Cabinet Committee on Afghanistan. In 2010 Stockwell Day was appointed President of the Treasury Board. He did not seek re-election in the 2011 general election.
Stockwell Day was born in Barrie, Ontario in 1950. He attended the University of Victoria and has lived in various regions of Canada. He has been a member of both the Royal Canadian Legion and the Rotary Club. Stockwell Day is a Senior Strategic Advisor for McMillan LLP and serves on the boards of Telus, the Johns Hopkins University Atlantic Basin Policy Institute, the Eminata Group, RCI Capital, the International Federation of Christians and Jews, the Canada-India Business Council, the Canada-China Business Council (Vice-Chair), and the Council on Jewish and Israel affairs. Stockwell Day is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Asia Pacific Foundation and is a well- known international speaker and a regular national television commentator.
Stockwell Day has received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Trinity Western University, in Langley, British Columbia, and an Honorary Doctorate from St. Petersburg University, Russia.
He and his wife Valorie have three married sons and 14 grandchildren.
