WHY: | In recognition of the UN World Day Against Child Labour, World Vision is holding a media event to draw attention to the 115 million children globally who are forced into labour. Our aim is to educate Canadians on the reality that their retail choices are having a directly negative impact on children around the world. See nochildforsale.ca and #nochildforsale for more information. | |||
VISUALS: | Brown paper covering storefront window will be torn down in front of media to reveal children in actual child labour situations. The children will be affixed with giant price tags, and will be doing various work like sewing, and breaking rocks.
