Strategic Group welcomes new Chief Financial Officer

CALGARY, April 21, 2014 /CNW/ - Strategic Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Garner to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to Strategic Group CEO Riaz Mamdani, Mr. Garner will be responsible for the overall financial management of Strategic Group, including corporate compliance, governance and financial reporting.

Prior to joining Strategic Group, Garner was the CEO of an upstream oil & gas company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. There, he was responsible for leading the reorganization of the company, ensuring its success. He has held various other leadership roles with organizations including a public company and a national law firm.

Garner has over twenty years' experience in oil and gas, real estate and consumer goods. He brings extensive expertise and leadership to Strategic Group in management, strategic planning and corporate finance. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD as well as Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Civil Law degrees from McGill University.
