Strategic Group Welcomes New Vice President of Corporate Development

CALGARY, April 3, 2013 /CNW/ - Strategic Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Baldauf to the position of Vice President, Corporate Development. Reporting to Strategic Group CEO Riaz Mamdani, Robert will be responsible for leading the private equity and venture capital division of Strategic Group. Robert will also be actively involved in a leadership capacity in all of Strategic Group's subsidiary companies.

Robert has over twenty years' experience in consulting and private industry. He specializes in integrating and optimizing business and technology operations, processes and systems, with the goal of long term business continuity, and effective cost management. He is considered an expert in organizational design, cost management, project management and relationship management.

Prior to joining Strategic Group, Robert was the VP of Business Development for CastleRock Research Corporation where he was responsible for creating solutions to support distance learning and advanced education services. He developed critical relationships with academic, industry, and provincial ministry partners to examine concepts, policies and processes to apply and create distance learning, e-learning and m-learning, assessment and certification capabilities in education, health care, and workforce training. He has held various other leadership, consulting and management roles with organizations such as Norquest College, MNP Consulting, Bearing Point and Canadian Pacific Railway.

Active in the community, Robert has supported the not-for-profit sector across Alberta for over 15 years and shares his business acumen in developing strategies for fund development, communications and business development.
