Strike averted after tentative agreement reached at Globe and Mail
TORONTO, Nov. 14, 2018 /CNW/ - Unifor Local 87-M has reached a tentative agreement with the Globe and Mail, averting a strike, just hours before the deadline.
"Congratulations to the bargaining in reaching a tentative agreement which sees gains for members in an industry under increasing pressure," said Jerry Dias, Unifor's National President.
Local 87-M represents 320 reporters, editors, circulation, operations and advertising sales staff across Canada.
Details of the agreement will not be released until they are presented to members for ratification.
