Strip Premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY Goes Nuclear with a Nightly Average of
900,000 Viewers Last Week

TORONTO, Sept. 14 /CNW/ - The 7:30 p.m. timeslot has a new winner: the strip premiere of Canada's #1 comedy THE BIG BANG THEORY got off to an explosive start as a nightly average of nearly 900,000 viewers clocked in last week to see how it all began. CTV's debut of THE BIG BANG THEORY strip, which began last Tuesday with the Season 1 pilot episode, won its timeslot for the week with all three key adult demos. THE BIG BANG THEORY delivered 90% more viewers than JEOPARDY (CBC/ABC, 245,000) among A25-54 and 83% among A18-49 (CBC/ABC, 229,000). The series has increased CTV's performance in the timeslot by 190% for A25-54 and 209% for A18-49 compared to the summer average.
