Fans can find the best value in seats located in 300 centre sections for Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors playoff runs
TORONTO, April 12, 2018 /CNW/ -- StubHub, the world's largest event marketplace, today announced the best seats in the house for each major Toronto sports stadium, aiming to give fans the ultimate guide to attending Toronto Maple Leafs' and Toronto Raptors' playoff runs as well as early season Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto FC games.
April is set to be the busiest month in sports for Toronto fans as the Leafs and Raptors gear up for playoff runs, the Jays kick off a new MLB season, and the defending MLS Cup Champions Toronto FC continue their quest for repeat. To celebrate, StubHub – which sells more than a ticket a second, worldwide - sorted through its wealth of data to provide section recommendations for each major Toronto sports venue to help better inform buyers searching for bucket list sports experiences.
"At StubHub, we know fans are looking for the best possible event experience, especially when attending playoff games," said Cameron Papp, Communications Manager for StubHub Canada. "By announcing the best seats in each stadium, we're making sure local sports fans get the best value for their money in what looks to be an incredible sports month in Toronto."
In order to make recommendations to fans, StubHub used information gathered over the last two regular seasons by its Best Value feature. StubHub's Best Value feature is a proprietary sophisticated algorithm that considers historical sales data, as well as price, location, and availability. StubHub's data shows that Toronto fans can find good value by searching for centre ice or centre court tickets in the 300 section of Air Canada Centre and 200 section of BMO field. At Rogers Centre, the best value can be found behind home plate in the 500 section.
For fans who want to know exactly what they're purchasing, StubHub's Virtual View puts fans virtually in their seats and experience an immersive 360-degree view right from their mobile devices. That way, fans can buy the seats that suit their preference without any guesswork.
"No two sports venues are made exactly the same, and no two people have the exact same taste in seat location," said Papp. "With StubHub's Best Value option, fans can feel great knowing that they're getting great quality tickets without breaking the bank."
Below is a breakdown of the Best Seats in the House for each Toronto team, based on StubHub's Best Value and Best Seat formulas.

How StubHub Determines Best Seats and Value: StubHub's machine-learning model pulls historical seat quality score data for each section in a venue. This Best Seat quality score quantifies how good a section is, regardless of its current price. The Best Value is determined by StubHub's historical ticket sales information, along with section location, venue and other metrics. The algorithm powering these numbers is updated regularly with new sales. Note: for the purposes of this report, StubHub excluded courtside seats for the Toronto Raptors and In the Action seats for the Toronto Blue Jays in order to provide fans with tips on the Best Seats that they may not otherwise consider right away.
Fans can use StubHub's best value feature for almost every event, including sports, concerts, and theatre events in Toronto and across the globe. As always, StubHub backs all listings with its market-leading FanProtect™ Guarantee and fans can use StubHub's 360-degree Virtual View feature and price alerts technology to find the perfect seats for any game. StubHub also released a new update for its iOS and Android app making it easier for fans to sell and manage their tickets.
