TORONTO, Sept. 28, 2017 /CNW/ -- StubHub, the world's largest ticket marketplace, today released its third-annual preview of the Canadian fall concert landscape, breaking down the most in-demand touring acts of fall 2017. Former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters is ranked as the top selling fall act of 2017 in Canada, edging out the next three artists and fellow countrymen Coldplay, Elton John and Harry Styles. Katy Perry is the only female artist on the list, while Arcade Fire is the only Canadian group to crack the Top 10. Legacy artists dominate the Top 5, with the lone exception being Harry Styles.

British invasion
- The UK is well-represented on the list, with four of the Top 5 acts having come from across the pond to perform for their Canadian fans.
- Harry Styles of One Direction fame ranks as the top selling artist on a per-show basis, followed by Sir Elton John.
Nostalgia dominates list
- Roger Waters tops the list and has the most Canadian dates of any artist on the top ten list with stops in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Winnipeg.
- Classic acts such as Roger Waters, Elton John and Guns N' Roses are all represented in the top 10.
Summer vs. Fall concerts
- On a sales-per-ticket basis, Elton John and Harry Styles beat summer concert top spot holder Ed Sheeran.
- Coldplay, who toured Canada in the summer and have dates in Edmonton and Vancouver in late September, continue to be fan favourites this fall, ranking #4.
