Rallies at Carleton University and University of Ottawa, March to Parliament Hill
OTTAWA, Nov. 2, 2016 /CNW/ - Today students in Ottawa are taking to the streets and rallying on Parliament Hill for free education. The actions are part of a national day of action taking place all across the country as part of the Canadian Federation of Students' campaign for free education.
WHAT: |
Students are calling on the federal and provincial governments to take immediate action to eliminate tuition fees, address mounting student debt and increase funding for Indigenous students through the Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP). |
