Subaru Canada: All-time annual sales record in 2009

Record December sales contribute to best year ever in company history

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Jan. 5 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada , Inc. (SCI) today announced that it set a new annual record in 2009, retailing a total of 23,034 vehicles. Record-breaking results in December also marked the ninth month of sales growth for SCI. Total monthly retails reached 1,945 vehicles, up 27.2 percent over last December. With yearly sales up 15.8 percent over 2008, SCI closed out 2009 as the fastest growing Japanese manufacturer for the second year in a row.

It was also a record-breaking December for the Outback, Forester and Impreza models. The all-new 2010 model year Outback experienced outstanding monthly results, with sales up 167.1 percent over the same month last year. Forester sales were up 17.3 percent over last December while Impreza sales were up 5.5 percent.
