MISSISSAUGA, ON, March 10, 2020 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is pleased to announce the introduction of the 2020 WRX STI Kanrai 寒雷 Edition, dedicated on delivering dynamic performance, driver engagement and owner exclusivity. The special edition vehicle will be limited to only 75 units.
With its foundation built on the WRX STI Sport-tech, the 2020 WRX STI Kanrai 寒雷 Edition enhances STI's legendary dynamic performance. Kanrai 寒雷 translates to "winter thunder", reflecting its exclusive Ceramic White exterior colour, as well as the aggressive characteristics and all-season dominance of the distinct WRX STI.
The 2020 WRX STI Kanrai 寒雷 Edition is equipped with STI-tuned Bilstein® performance suspension and lightweight bronze-painted 19-inch BBS forged alloy wheels with Michelin® Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The special edition delivers greater levels of handling dynamics and grip. The standard Brembo® 6-pot front, 2-pot rear brake system has cross-drilled rotors and includes exclusive silver painted calipers. To reduce weight even more, the spare tire has been replaced with a repair kit.
Complimenting the Ceramic White paint, the Kanrai 寒雷 Edition incorporates a black low-profile trunk lip spoiler, black badging, mirror caps and shark-fin antenna, adding a subtle, yet dramatic contrasting visual impact. What's more is the black front grille receives accents in STI's special cherry colour as another distinct styling queue.
The WRX STI Kanrai 寒雷 Edition will be available at Subaru retailers in early Spring, 2020 and is priced at $50,395.
