Year-to-date sales are up 30.1% for the fastest growing Japanese manufacturer in 2010
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 1 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today announced that it set a new record for August results. Sales of its lineup of Subaru symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive vehicles reached 2,328 units, up 20.0 percent over the previous record set just last year. This past month marked the thirteenth month of continuous growth, fortifying Subaru Canada's position as the fastest growing Japanese manufacturer in Canada.
August was also a record-breaking month for both Legacy sedan and Outback models as sales rose by 85.4 and 89.7 percent, respectively, over the same month last year.
"The launch of the all-new 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX and WRX STI generated a lot of excitement at the dealerships this month," says Shiro Ohta, president and CEO of SCI. "This level of enthusiasm in the showrooms also helped car buyers open their eyes to the breadth of our product offering.
