MISSISSAUGA, ON, March 1, 2016 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is proud to announce that 2,543 units were sold throughout Canada in February, a 0.2 percent increase year-over-year (YOY) from 2015. After four consecutive years of annual sales growth, 2016 is setting up to be another year of excellent results.
Regional sales strength continued, with Ontario reporting a 6.8 percent increase over February of last year, and the Atlantic region not far behind at 6.3 percent.
The 2016 Subaru Crosstrek compact crossover had its best February ever, retailing 510 units for a 40.9 percent increase YOY, while the iconic 2016 Subaru WRX and WRX STI also had a record-setting February, notching up a 39.7 percent increase with 204 units sold. The 2016 Subaru Forester increased its sales over last February by 6.1 percent, while the rear-wheel drive 2016 Subaru BRZ came in with a whopping 60 percent increase YOY.
