Subaru Canada, Inc. Introduces Limited BRZ and WRX STI Hikari Editions

• A special edition Hyper Blue Subaru BRZ and WRX STI, named Hikari Edition, will be available in limited quantities of 100 and 200 units, respectively.
• Hikari Edition continues Subaru Canada's naming theme for special edition vehicles based on Japanese names that best represent the vehicle – Hikari carries the meaning of "light" or "beam of light" – paying homage to these performance-oriented vehicles.

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Jan. 13, 2016 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is proud to announce that special edition BRZ and WRX STI models, named Hikari Edition, will be available across Canada featuring a striking Hyper Blue exterior paint finish. The Hikari Edition (pronounced "he-ka-ree") vehicles also feature specific black painted exterior trim accents, black wheels and unique blue interior seating and trim enhancements.

The 2016 BRZ Hikari Edition is an enhancement from the Sport-Tech 6MT model, adding a performance Flexible Strut Tower Bar to improve handling dynamics and steering feel as well as blue footwell illumination, frameless auto-dimming interior mirror and unique black exterior side fin blades. 

The 2016 WRX STI Hikari Edition is equipped similarly to the 2016 WRX STI Sport Package, rolling on black 18" BBS forged alloy wheels to improve handling through reduced un-spring weight.

Both vehicles will be available in limited quantities, with 200 units available of the 2016 Subaru WRX STI Hikari Edition and 100 units available of the 2016 Subaru BRZ Hikari Edition.

Hikari has the meaning of "light" or "beam of light," which parallels the Subaru WRX STI and BRZ vehicle characteristics of speed, performance and precision.
