It was also a record-breaking March for Outback with sales up 6.5 percent as Canadians purchased 693 units of the capable SUV alternative.
"I'm very pleased with our first quarter results," said Shiro Ohta, president and CEO of Subaru Canada, Inc. "I'd like to credit the collaborative strength of our dealer network as well as our award-winning lineup, which inspires confidence in terms of the value and safety offered. Subaru was recently ranked number one overall in the 2011 Canadian Automobile Dealers Association Dealer Satisfaction Index, but this is a two-way street. I appreciate the hard work involved in building the momentum needed to set a new milestone in company history. Our product-oriented approach is paying off as we are on our way to making 2012 our best year ever."
