- March sales set another record, recording the best March ever for sales and contributing to best year-to-date sales
- Forester, Outback and WRX STI all achieve sales records
MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 3, 2017 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is pleased to announce our best ever March sales with 4,652 units retailed. Springing forward with sales of 10,422 units so far for 2017, momentum continues to build on the fifth consecutive annual sales record set in 2016 of 50,190 units, the first year topping 50,000 units.
Every region across Canada contributed with their own record sales for March. The western region was up 12.7 percent; Quebec was up 10.6 percent; Ontario was up 8.9 percent and the Atlantic region was up 9.2 percent.
The capable Forester, AJAC's (Automobile Journalists Association of Canada) overall Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year, achieved sales of 1,303 units for a 20.6 percent increase over last year, setting a new record for March. The record-setting trend continued with Outback marking 1,061 units retailed over last year's 1,056 units, while the sporty WRX STI saw 440 units retailed, an increase of 33.7 percent over last year. The all-new Impreza also saw sales improve by 60.7 percent over last year, with 900 units retailed and BRZ achieved sales of 85 units, a 37.1 percent increase over last year.
