Wanted by Wisconsin Department of Corrections
SUDBURY, ON, April 12, 2013 /CNW/ - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sudbury detachment has arrested a 66 year-old male U.S. citizen wanted on the strength of a federal warrant held by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
As a result of an information alert received from the CBSA that was in effect from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, officers from the OPP Highway Safety Division and the Sudbury Detachment stopped the offender's vehicle on Highway 17 outside of Sudbury at approximately 7PM on April 11, 2013.
He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Sudbury District Jail where he will be held for return to Canadian Border Services Agency officials.
