Summit Industrial Income REIT announces COVID-19 precautionary measures for its upcoming Annual Unitholders' Meeting
TORONTO, April 16, 2020 /CNW/ - Summit Industrial Income REIT ("Summit" or the "REIT") (TSX: SMU.UN) announced today that its upcoming Annual General Meeting of unitholders (the "Meeting") to take place on May 13, 2020 at 10:30 am Eastern Time, will be held at the office of the REIT at 137 Venture Run, Suite 105, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and will be available via live webinar.
We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and are sensitive to the public health and travel concerns our unitholders may have, as well as the directives from Canadian public health officials on physical distancing. In response to these concerns and directives, and in efforts to protect the safety of our people and our unitholders, a live webinar of the Meeting will be available at the link noted below. The webinar platform will not support the casting of votes and so this year, more than ever, we strongly encourage unitholders to vote in advance of the Meeting in accordance with the instructions provided in the materials for the Meeting, including the Management Information Circular, which was mailed to unitholders on or about April 16, 2020, and is available on SEDAR at www.sedar.com. All unitholders are encouraged to attend the Meeting via webinar. Unitholders will be able to ask questions of management through the webinar at the conclusion of the Meeting as usual.
