Summitt Energy Provides Shelter Through UNICEF
MISSISSAUGA, ON, March 9, 2015 /CNW/ - Summitt Energy has proudly donated to UNICEF Canada in order to help educate children and provide them with shelter.
A UNICEF tent donation provides children with shelter and makes it possible for them to continue their studies. It's also a refuge of hope that helps restore a sense of normalcy in young lives. UNICEF tent donation has the ability to reach the lives of over 11,000 children in need.
When a devastating earthquake hit Haiti in 2010 many schools were destroyed, leaving 2 million children without the opportunity to learn. UNICEF tent donations made it possible for children to receive the right education and provide them with a safe environment to overcome difficult times.
"A home is something that can be easily taken for granted" said Gerry Haggarty, President of Summitt Energy. "Summitt is grateful to be involved with UNICEF's campaign to provide shelter to children in need of refuge".
Summitt is proud to support both our local communities as well as those that are half a world away. To read more about this amazing campaign and get involved, please visit https://shop.unicef.ca/tent.
