Sun-Canadian Collaborating with City of Sarnia on Watermain Improvements
SARNIA, ON, Nov. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - Starting on Tuesday, November 26, the City of Sarnia will be undertaking work on a watermain at the intersection of Vidal Street and Churchill Line.
The opening of the ground near the watermain for remediation efforts by Sun-Canadian Pipe Line meant the City could access the infrastructure with greater ease and efficiency for their repairs and improvements.
"We are working in collaboration with municipal officials to ensure they have the access they need to the site to make improvements to the aging infrastructure," said Sun-Canadian Pipe Line's General Manager, Tony Waters. "We are glad that the City was able to coordinate this infrastructure repair and improvement while the site is uncovered as it means a shorter disruption to traffic than if they had not taken this opportunity."
It is anticipated that the intersection will be closed for four days in order to allow the City of Sarnia uninterrupted access to the watermain.
