TORONTO, May 7, 2018 /CNW/ - Sun Life Financial today announced that the Sun Life Financial International Response Fund is donating $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support communities impacted by spring floods in New Brunswick.
"As water levels continue to rise and cause damage to homes and communities across New Brunswick, our thoughts are with our Clients and all residents impacted by these unprecedented floods," said Jacques Goulet, President of Sun Life Financial Canada. "We hope our donation will assist the Red Cross and their network of highly trained disaster response volunteers who are on the ground doing the vital work of helping people in need so that they can recover and come back stronger."
We encourage any of our impacted Clients who require special assistance or have any questions to reach out to us by phone 1 877 SUN LIFE (1 877 786 5433), email [email protected], or contact their Sun Life Financial advisor.
The Sun Life Financial International Response Fund, the first international corporate sponsorship of its kind, was established in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross in 2005 to help accelerate emergency response to large-scale international crises. Administered by the Canadian Red Cross, the Fund has helped provide immediate relief and resources to natural disasters and crises in Canada and around the world.
Canadians can donate to the New Brunswick Floods Appeal, which will be used for immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency and preparedness in New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada.
