TORONTO, Oct. 6, 2017 /CNW/ - Sun Life Global Investments announced today that unitholders voted to approve the proposed merger of Sun Life Sentry Conservative Balanced Fund into Sun Life Granite Income Portfolio, scheduled to take place on or about October 27, 2017 (the Fund Merger Date).
Sun Life Sentry Conservative Balanced Fund was capped to new investors as of close of business today. Securities will no longer be available for purchase, with the exception of purchases made under pre-authorized purchase plans existing prior to today. Pre-authorized purchase plans that were already in place prior to October 6, 2017, will continue uninterrupted up to close of business on October 26, 2017. These pre-authorized purchase plans will automatically transfer to Sun Life Granite Income Portfolio after the Fund Merger Date.
Unitholders of Sun Life Sentry Conservative Balanced Fund will be able to redeem or switch securities until the close of business on October 26, 2017.
On or about the Fund Merger Date, all holders of units in Sun Life Sentry Conservative Balanced Fund will receive the equivalent series of units in Sun Life Granite Income Portfolio.
