TORONTO, Oct. 1, 2012 /CNW/ - As Premiere Week came to a close Sunday, CTV won the evening for the fifth night in a row when 2.6 million viewers watched the season premiere of THE AMAZING RACE. On Sunday night, CTV won every hour in primetime with total viewers and A25-54, capturing four out of the Top 5 programs of the night with total viewers. THE AMAZING RACE was up 9% versus last season's premiere, winning the night with total viewers and all key demos.
Capping primetime, 1.9 million viewers tuned in to the season premiere of the #2 program of the night, THE MENTALIST, now airing on a new day, and up 57% versus its season premiere last fall on CTV Two.
Following as the #3 program of the night was the season premiere of last season's #1 new drama ONCE UPON A TIME with 1.5 million viewers, airing only on CTV at 7 p.m. Meanwhile, an all-new episode of THE MOB DOCTOR won its timeslot with just over 1 million viewers, up 10% versus last week.
