TORONTO, March 8, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - (TSXV: SSM) (BVL: SSM) Sunset Cove Mining today reports that it's ground team working at Carolay has found a fourth structure called Carolay 2. This new structure is found parallel to the Carolay vein (310° of azimuth) but with a different inclination equal to 78° to the northeast.
"This new structure which is located above the Carolay Vein has confirmed our belief that the anomaly identified by the I.P. work completed in 2010 and measured 200-meters contained numerous structures that we hoped would be mineralized," said Lorne Woods president of Sunset.
This structure was found in an ancient work that is located near the surface. It is located 65 meters from the Carolay adit. It is composed of veinlets of silver sulfide, galena and sphalerite associated with Fe and Mn oxides, as well as the mineralogy of the Carolay vein.
This Carolay 2 vein was sampled in a adit 20 meters long and systematic channel samples spaced every two meters. The results reported 57.00g/t silver, 0.05% Cu, 0.19% Pb and 0.41% Zn with an average width of 0.84 meters. The width of this structure varies from 0.51 to 1.38 meters.
"It is becoming apparent to the geological team, led by Carlos Villon, that the drilling program currently underway should return some interesting results," said Mr. Woods
