BEIJING, Sept. 7, 2017 /CNW/ -- On Sept. 6, an inaugural ceremony for the appointment of iQIYI's Chief VIP Experience Officer was held in Beijing, with the theme of "Dare to Be Proud, Together We Roar". China's popular actor and hip-hop singer Kris Wu was appointed as Chief VIP Experience Officer at iQIYI's Pop Stars Business Division. Kris Wu is the 6th pop star who was honored to work as an iQIYI VIP ambassador, following famous actors including William Chan and Zhao Liying.
Dr Gong Yu, founder and CEO of iQIYI, announced the establishment of iQIYI's Pop Stars Business Division and welcomed Kris Wu to become the Chief VIP Experience Officer.
In a speech, he highlighted the company's branding efforts to attract young users with its unique value of star-studded team to work for iQIYI's VIP members while expecting a bright future for iQIYI's cooperation with Kris Wu.
At the event, the other three star executives also welcomed Kris Wu to join on board in a pre-recorded VCR and presented him with specially-selected gifts, which brought both pressure and passion for the new Chief VIP Experience Officer.
As the newly appointed Chief VIP Experience Officer, Kris Wu expressed his excitement on cooperating with iQIYI and promised to work hard on his new post.
A new TV commercial which stars Kris Wu and is tailor made for iQIYI had been launched at the ceremony.
