TORONTO, May 14, 2014 /CNW/ - Global's finale week continues to dominate primetime with millions of Canadians tuning into its Tuesday night lineup, anchored by its powerhouse NCIS, NCIS: LA franchise. The action-packed finale of NCIS won the night nationally with more than 2.1 million viewers (2+), followed by the finale of NCIS: LA with over 1.9 million viewers (2+). The NCIS: LA finale also saw a double digit increase over last year across all key demos. The excitement didn't stop there - the night bowed with the shocking finale of Chicago Fire with more than 1.1 million viewers.
Last night's thrilling NCIS season finale followed the team's investigation into whether a fire on a U.S. Navy ship, which served as a secret detention site for indicted terrorists, was accidental or an intentional diversion for an escape. The NCIS: LA season finale kept the momentum going when the team and the DEA uncover the cartel's plans to slyly transport billions of dollars' worth of cocaine from Colombia to the United States using a submarine.
