Superior Propane Truck Goes Pink and White for a Good Cause
VANCOUVER, May 5 /CNW/ - In support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - BC/Yukon Region, Superior Propane has introduced a new pink and white delivery truck into its fleet; a sharp contrast from all of its other bright yellow vehicles.
A first of its kind in the BC/Yukon Region, the Pink Truck will service local Superior Propane customers and a portion of the revenue generated will be donated back to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Region.
"Each time this vehicle makes a delivery, our customers will receive a note advising them that the propane they've just received is helping to create a future without breast cancer," said Brian Seppala, General Manager for Superior Propane - Pacific Region.
"Our truck will also participate in local events as it travels around BC and the Yukon. This is an excellent opportunity to reach out and create awareness in the very remote communities of BC/Yukon through Superior's diverse customer base."
A spokesperson for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Region loves the idea.
"Superior Propane is helping us reach out and engage Canadians in our drive to overcome breast cancer by 2020," said Linda Morris, CEO of the Foundation's BC/Yukon Region.
"We're making great strides against the most common form of cancer diagnosed in women. The support of Superior Propane's drivers, staff, clients and customers will be far reaching."
The BC and Yukon division of Superior Propane has also come on board as the official "Kick Start" sponsor of the first-ever In the Pink(TM) Wear Pink Day, October 28th. Corporations, schools and community groups will be urged to wear something pink in support of the Foundation's vision 2020 campaign, The Future Without Breast Cancer.
The campaign will be introduced at the Foundation's 18th Annual Awareness Day luncheon, May 6th at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
Superior Propane is committed to improving lives and the communities in which its customers and employees reside and this cause marketing relationship is a clear demonstration of that commitment. With the debut of this new pink and white truck, Superior Propane is proud to assist the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in their mission of creating a future without breast cancer.
