SCMA.com will provide one location for members, students, employers, and Canada's 820,000 supply chain professionals
TORONTO, Jan. 26, 2016 /CNW/ - The Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA), has launched a new website creating one central source of information on supply chain in Canada. The new, mobile-responsive website consolidates information from across SCMA's regional Institutes into one, easy-to-use hub providing online resources, educational materials, accreditation processes, events, news, and careers.
This latest development is a further step in coordinating efforts across the country to deliver more value to members and to the profession. By amalgamating into one web address, it will enhance the visitor experience, provide easier access to valuable information and resources and support a platform to share ideas and communicate trends.
"Canada's economy is very different from one region to the next, but good ideas are universal. Our newly redesigned website will create a virtual hub where supply chain professionals from across the country can visit to learn more about their field of practice," said Cheryl Paradowski, president and CEO of the Supply Chain Management Association. "We are seeing that supply chain professionals are increasingly being called on to play a more strategic role in the success of their organizations. They are helping innovate, deliver more value, develop new ways of working – and we need to support them by making it as easy as possible to get access to information and new skills."
The supply chain management profession makes a significant contribution to Canada's economy and provides a critical competitive advantage for all enterprises. Latest research reveals that SCMA members control more than $130 billion in annual spend. The standard of living we all enjoy through timely, cost-effective access to a range of innovative, high-quality goods and services is directly linked to the professional practice of supply chain management.
