Support for jobs in the recreo-tourism industry: the Fonds de solidarité FTQ invests 3 million dollars into Super Aqua Club Français
MONTREAL, July 16, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - As the summer recreo-tourist season gets into full swing, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ is proud to announce that it has invested three million dollars into Super Aqua Club at Pointe-Calumet. Thanks to this financial support, the President of the company, and now sole owner, was able to finalize the purchase of the business from its founders, a process that began in March 2011.
"Throughout the years, Super Aqua Club has become a staple in the recreo-tourism industry in this province. It is a major employer of students in Pointe-Calumet and the surrounding areas," said Janie Béïque, Senior Vice-President, Industries, Entertainment and Consumer Goods for the Fonds de solidarité FTQ. "We are convinced that the company has a bright future under its new management," she added.
Supported by the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, Super Aqua Club wishes to continue to offer unparalleled services and to focus on innovation, while making the most out of its beach and current attractions in order to remain one of the top recreo-tourist destinations for families in Quebec.
The Super Aqua Club is able to accommodate up to 10,000 visitors a day and offers a wide range of water-based activities and access to a beach. The company is renowned for the safety of its installations and its close proximity to Montreal. During the summer season, the Super Aqua Club employs more than 300 workers, most of whom are students.
