The Government of Canada provides over $1.6 million to 29 organizations
WINDSOR, ON, July 24, 2018 /CNW/ - At the start of his 3-day visit to Southwestern Ontario today, Arif Virani, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, took the opportunity to highlight the more than $1.6 million in funding provided to the Windsor area's arts and culture organizations since 2016.
This funding from the Department of Canadian Heritage supports organizations as they continue their important work to promote the arts, heritage, and literature; support local festivals; and celebrate emerging and established artists.

Projects have been funded under the following programs of the Department of Canadian Heritage: Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program, the Canada Arts Presentation Fund, the Canada Book Fund, the Canada Cultural Investment Fund, the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund, the Canada Periodical Fund, Celebrate Canada, and the Museums Assistance Program.
