IKEA Canada launches free Wi-Fi service in its stores
BURLINGTON, ON, Aug. 21, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, IKEA Canada has announced the launch of a free Wi-Fi service in all of its stores. The service will make in-store shopping more convenient by providing customers with the ability to surf the mobile version of IKEA's website or download the IKEA Canada Shopping App, making it easier to; browse products, scan bar codes, discover special offers, check stock availability, create shopping lists and locate products in the self-serve warehouse. Also, adding to the convenience, customers can now use the free Wi-Fi service to purchase direct from a mobile device while browsing in-store.
"We are continually striving to improve our customers' shopping experience and to service them in a more sophisticated way," says Hilary Lloyd, VP Marketing, IKEA Canada. "We know our customers are constantly connected and we are now making it more convenient for them to shop and navigate our stores using their mobile devices."
Customers will also be able to download the digital version of the new 2015 IKEA Catalogue or the Catalogue App right from the IKEA showroom. By accessing the Catalogue's extended digital content, customers will be able to explore inspirational image galleries, 360° views, slideshows and the "place in your room" feature.
Customers can connect to IKEA Canada's Wi-Fi easily via a quick connection. If a customer's device is Wi-Fi enabled, the connection screen will appear automatically or customers can open a browser on their mobile device and select "IKEA Wi-Fi" as their connection option. Customers will automatically re-connect to IKEA's Wi-Fi with follow-up visits.
