Surprise tap dancing performances have GO passengers eager to tap into PRESTO
TORONTO, June 1, 2010 /CNW/ - Performances in Union Station by two of Toronto's best hip-hop tappers are helping to introduce GO passengers to the PRESTO farecard system. Two urban tap dancers who were filmed performing throughout Union Station on top of a giant PRESTO card are helping GO rollout the benefits of PRESTO. Back flips, tricks and fast rhythmic dancing energize an audience who gathered around each performance location. Video footage of the surprise performances can be found on YouTube.
The PRESTO fare payment system will make commuting easy for GO passengers. The PRESTO farecard allows transit users in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area to use a single card to move between each transit system.
Key benefits include: convenience; flexibility; easy transfers; and peace of mind. PRESTO cards can be replaced with the value restored if lost or stolen. They are also eligible for the federal public tax credit.
PRESTO is being gradually rolled out across the GO system, but will be available to all passengers by spring 2011. By tapping into PRESTO, the GO passengers' commuting experience will be improved. To find out more, check out the video.
