Sysmex Canada, Inc. to Distribute CellaVision Systems
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, June 24, 2016 /CNW/ -- Sysmex Canada, Inc., a leading provider of hematology and urinalysis automated diagnostic testing equipment and middleware information systems technology, today announced that it has been granted a non-exclusive agreement with CellaVision® to distribute its full line of digital cell morphology systems in Canada.
In late 2013, Sysmex successfully launched the DI-60 system in the U.S and Canada, with digital cell imaging powered by CellaVision software and integrated into a Sysmex hematology automation line.
This agreement now expands Sysmex Canada's ability to provide CellaVision's DM1200 and DM9600 digital morphology systems. When combined, the Sysmex and CellaVision systems can offer significant clinical and operational benefits for clinical laboratories, including automation of Complete Blood Counts (CBC), enhanced cell identification and automation of the manual cell differential processes. CellaVision's systems also offer remote viewing of samples – cells can be remotely reviewed by pathologists, referring service lines and physicians.
"We're excited to offer CellaVision products to our Canadian customers. This agreement means that Canadian laboratories can now get two of the highest quality hematology systems from one source. said Carl Rocha, general manager, Sysmex Canada, Inc.
