T-Bird Pharma Inc. Announces Funding from the Government of Canada
VICTORIA, BC, May 13, 2015 /CNW/ - T-Bird Pharma Inc. (TSXV:TPI) ("T-Bird" or the "Company"), a pharmaceutical company focused on developing premium quality medical marijuana products and a licensed producer ("LP") to cultivate and sell marijuana under the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (Canada) ("MMPR"), is pleased to announce that it will receive funding through NRC-IRAP (National Research Council of Canada-IRAP) for research and development work related to the Company's strains of medical cannabis.
Specifically, the funding will be used to characterize strains and utilize the data generated to assist in: identifying strains with specific compositions of cannabinoids, develop new strains using the Company's range of genetic material and to ultimately match these strains with patients' needs.
