T4G named one of the Best Places to Work in Atlantic Canada

Sixth annual awards created by Progress magazine and Best Companies Group lists 27 winners

HALIFAX, April 23, 2012 /CNW/ - It is no secret to any of us, but it is fantastic that more people in Atlantic Canada now know what a fabulous workplace we have at T4G Limited.

(Of course, no need to restrict it to Atlantic Canada, either, because our offices in Ontario, British Columbia and Maine are great places to work, too. Last week, T4G was named for the fifth straight year to the annual Best Workplaces in Canada list, cracking the Top Ten for the second year in a row. In the same survey, T4G was also tabbed the 8^th best workplace for women in Canada.)

Still, we're thrilled to be named one of the Best Places to Work in Atlantic Canada. This sixth annual program was created by Progress magazine and Best Companies Group, a consulting firm overseeing the survey. The Best Places to Work in Atlantic Canada list is made up of 27 top companies.

"We have deep roots in Atlantic Canada," says T4G President Geoff Flood, himself born and raised in Saint John. "When we opened offices in Saint John more than 10 years ago, we knew it would be successful. The fact that we're now also in Halifax, Moncton and Fredericton with about 150 employees in Atlantic Canada certainly proves that point."

Adds Mark Fraser, T4G's Executive Vice-President (and a Haligonian): "The lifestyle in Atlantic Canada is second to none, especially when it comes to raising families. People love to live here and that shows in their work and what they put back into their communities all across the region."

For example, T4G employees volunteer their time and raise money for local charities; especially when it comes to helping young people succeed, the motto of T4G's charitable wing called the Future Focus Foundation.

T4G is scheduled to be one of the winning firms to be featured on CBC - a Best Workplaces sponsor - as part of the festivities leading up to the May 17^th gala.

Companies from across the region entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Atlantic Canada.  The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics.  This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation.  The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience.  This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation.

The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking, which will be unveiled May 17^th. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Atlantic Canada, analyzed the data and determined the final rankings.
