Taiga Building Products Ltd. announces a change in directors

BURNABY, BC, March 19 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of Taiga Building Products Ltd. (TSX: TBL & TBL.NT) announces the resignation of Rayvin Tan Yeong Sheik from the Board, effective March 9, 2010. The Board would like to thank Rayvin Tan for six years of dedicated service.

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Tan Thiam Chai to the Board of Directors, effective March 11, 2010. Mr. Tan is the Chief Financial Officer of Berjaya Corporation Berhad (Berjaya) and a director of a number of Berjaya's subsidiary companies. Berjaya is a major Malaysian conglomerate engaged in core activities such as financial services, hotels, resort and recreation development, direct selling, consumer marketing, gaming and property investment and development.

Mr. Tan graduated with a Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) from Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman (Malaysia) and also completed The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) professional course in 1981.
