Take all the time in the world to help every kid in every community
TORONTO, Aug. 16, 2011 /CNW/ - What would you do if you had all the time in the world? Maybe you'd spend more time with the family, give back to the community, or take in a movie. On Saturday, August 20, you can do all three at your local Empire Theatres location with a special screening of Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World. The latest installment of this family-friendly series is an exciting, edge-of-your seat race to save the world, and on August 20, moviegoers everywhere will also be able to help kids all over Canada thanks to Empire Theatres and Alliance Films, who will be donate a percentage of their box office proceeds to Kids Help Phone. Earlier this year, Empire Theatres ran a similar promotion that resulted in a $10 thousand donation to Kids Help Phone.
"As a parent, I know how meaningful it is to my kids to have a day out at the movies," says Sharon Wood, President and CEO, Kids Help Phone, "which is why this promotion is such a wonderful initiative, because it brings families together and empowers them to make a difference for kids all over Canada. Kids from all communities experience feelings of frustration, sadness, and uncertainty as they grow up, and Empire Theatres and Alliance Films are making sure that Kids Help Phone will continue to be there to support every kid in every community." "As an official sponsor of Kids Help Phone, we are thrilled to host this event at our theatres from coast to coast," says Dean Leland, Vice President of Studio Relations & Media at Empire Theatres. "We are especially thankful to Alliance Films for their support of this event."
