TORONTO, June 28, 2012 /CNW/ - On Sunday, July 8, 2012, GO Transit is running extra train trips along the Lakeshore lines for the Honda Indy.
To give racing fans more options to get downtown, GO is adding extra train trips in addition to the regular hourly weekend GO Train service along the Lakeshore lines. There will be two Toronto-bound GO Train trips before the Honda Indy, one from either direction. After the end of the event, there will be two homebound trips from Exhibition along the Lakeshore corridors, one in either direction.
Toronto-bound extra service:
- An eastbound Lakeshore West train departing Aldershot GO Station at 9:34 a.m. making all stops to Union Station, arriving at Exhibition GO Station at 10:30 a.m.
- A westbound Lakeshore East train departing Oshawa GO Station at 9:11 a.m. making all stops to Exhibition GO Station, arriving at 10:16 a.m.
Homebound extra service:
- A westbound Lakeshore West train departing Union Station at 3:20 p.m. making all stops to Aldershot GO Station, arriving at 4:30 p.m.
- An eastbound Lakeshore East train departing Exhibition GO Station at 3:30 p.m. making all stops to Oshawa GO Station, arriving at 4:32 p.m.
Customers taking the Barrie weekend train service can connect to westbound Lakeshore train service at Union Station.
