Take the GO Train to watch tight-rope walk across Niagara Falls
TORONTO, June 8, 2012 /CNW/ - GO Transit will operate a special event train for passengers to experience a unique tight-rope walk across Niagara Falls. Nik Wallenda will attempt to cross the natural wonder on an 1,800-foot wire on the evening of Friday, June 15.
GO will run a train from Union Station at 3:30 p.m. to arrive in Niagara Falls at 5:34; events around the Falls are due to begin in the early evening. Following the event, the return trip will leave Niagara Falls at 12:01 a.m. and arrive in Toronto at 2:04.
Both trips will accommodate passengers at Union, Exhibition, Port Credit, Oakville, Burlington, St. Catharines and Niagara Falls stations. Schedule information is available at gotransit.com.
Regular GO service will not be affected by the special train; there will be no additional GO Buses for connection with the special trains.
