Talon Metals Reports First Quarter 2015 Results

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, May 14, 2015 /CNW/ - Talon Metals Corp., ("Talon" or the "Company") (TSX: TLO) reported a net loss for the three months ended March 31, 2015 of $0.6 million or $0.01 per share (basic and diluted), which was primarily the result of administration expenses and an investment loss on shares in Tlou Energy. This compares to net income of $19,082 for the three months ended March 31, 2014 or nil per share (basic and diluted), which was primarily due to investment gains offset by project evaluation and due diligence expenses, and administration expenses.
Capitalized exploration costs and deferred expenditures on the Tamarack Nickel-Copper-PGE Project for the three months ended March 31, 2015 amounted to $6.2 million, compared to nil for the same period in the prior year.
