Local residents can now visit new space at 2480 Main Street
TORONTO, April 27, 2016 /CNW/ - Tangerine is pleased to announce the opening of its new Pop-Up Location in Winnipeg, Manitoba, following the success of two pilot Pop-Up Locations that opened in Ontario last year. This new Pop-Up location will help Winnipeg residents discover the superior everyday banking experience that Tangerine provides, while making it easy to sign up for an account within minutes using the bank's most advanced technologies.
Tangerine's Pop-Up Locations are sleek looking shipping containers that have been transformed into state-of-the-art spaces that represent Tangerine's simple and innovative approach to everyday banking. Advanced technologies in the space include Tangerine's Sign Me Up App, which allows Clients to sign up for an account on-the-spot simply by taking a photo of their valid photo ID, without the hassle of cheques or paperwork.*
"Since we're a direct bank, our Pop-Up Locations allow us the opportunity to showcase our unique everyday banking experience to potential Clients in new markets who may need a little extra nudge to help discover what we're all about," says Phil Taylor, Vice President of Physical Distribution and Partnerships at Tangerine. "Our previous two locations have been a tremendous success, so we're excited to introduce ourselves to Winnipeg residents and show them what Tangerine has to offer."
The new Winnipeg Pop-Up Location is opening on Wednesday, April 27 at 2480 Main Street (near Main St. and Chief Peguis Trail) and will remain at this location for 12 months.
Tangerine has Cafés in four major Canadian cities: Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal. At these Café locations, Associates are on hand to welcome new Clients to the bank and help them get started, or answer any questions for current Tangerine Clients to help them make smart decisions with their hard-earned money.
To reach more Canadians, Tangerine started its Pop-Up Location pilot last year with two locations in Toronto and Brampton. Following the success of these locations, Tangerine plans to open additional Pop-Up Locations across Canada later this year in addition to this third location in Winnipeg.
