MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 1, 2012 /CNW/ - Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) announced today that it has reached an agreement with Fairweather Ltd, International Clothiers Inc. and Les Ailes de la Mode Incorporées regarding naming and branding rights in Canada. Under the agreement Fairweather, International Clothiers and Les Ailes have agreed to cease use of the TARGET mark by Jan. 31, 2013. This agreement will eliminate any potential confusion among Canadian consumers regarding Target Corporation's branding elements, store experience and merchandise assortments as it opens its first stores in Canada in 2013. No additional details of the agreement will be disclosed.
