Target Extends Holiday Shopping Hours Due To Ice Storms
Store locations in Ontario and Atlantic Canada open extra hour today only
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Dec. 23, 2013 /CNW/ - Target store locations in Ontario and Atlantic Canada will be open today until midnight given that many were housebound due to ice storms on Sunday. Where possible, stores will open at 7 a.m. and remain open until midnight, allowing guests to shop longer for those critical last minute gifts and stock up on much needed essentials.
"As Ontario and Atlantic Canada were hit by extreme weather causing delays and power outages over the weekend, we wanted to give our guests a little extra time to get ready for the holidays," said Tony Fisher, president, Target Canada. "This also allows those without power more time to make it to a store should they need to replenish supplies like batteries, candles or groceries."
Please note that Target store locations in Sudbury and Thunder Bay, Ontario will be open during regular holiday hours today from 8 a.m. – 11 p.m
