TCF Bank Switches to March Networks 8000 Series Video Surveillance Platform for System-Wide Deployment
OTTAWA, June 25, 2013 /CNW/ - March Networks®, the No. 1 supplier of video surveillance systems to banks and credit unions in the Americas, is pleased to announce that TCF Bank is deploying the company's financial solution for improved security, fraud detection and operational efficiency across 430 retail banking branches. The Minneapolis-based bank selected the solution for its demonstrated reliability and centralized video management capabilities. Powered by new March Networks 8000 Series Hybrid Network Video Recorders (NVRs), the solution replaces a Verint® Systems deployment.
"Reliability was our top criterion for selecting a new video surveillance system, to ensure we can properly safeguard our assets and reduce losses from fraudulent activity," said David Nelson, Assistant Vice President for Physical Security at TCF Bank. "We saw first-hand that the March Networks solution delivers rock solid performance, as well as real-time enterprise health monitoring, so we know video will always be there when we need it. The new 8000 Series NVRs will be the standard for all of our retail banking branches moving forward."
TCF Bank worked with certified provider DAV-COM Electric to trial the March Networks recorders and opted to standardize on the solution soon after. In addition to the 8000 Series Hybrid NVRs, the bank is using March Networks Visual Intelligence software, which provides centralized video management and real-time system health monitoring to ensure optimal performance. It is also using March Networks high-definition (HD) MegaPX WDR MiniDome and MegaPX WDR NanoDome IP cameras as part of a strategic transition to all-IP video networking.
The 8000 Series is a next-generation video platform able to support advanced IP video capabilities, as well as intelligent video applications and analytics designed specially to help banks fight fraud, improve operations and increase profits. Able to capture crystal-clear IP video evidence and noticeably sharper images from existing analog cameras, the 8000 Series supports as many as 32 IP cameras or any hybrid combination up to 16 analog inputs. This flexibility enables banks to deploy HD surveillance cameras as needed, while taking full advantage of their existing analog investments.
The ability to adopt March Networks Searchlight™ software applications is another reason why TCF Bank chose the financial solution. Searchlight includes powerful financial transaction investigation, skimming detection, image tracker and license plate tracker applications, as well as rich case management tools. It enables banks and credit unions to proactively detect fraudulent activity across their organizations and gather stronger case evidence through centralized searches that correlate video with transaction information, security analytics and other fraud-related data.
"We are proud to have TCF Bank join the more than 450 banks and credit unions using March Networks for their video needs," said Net Payne, Chief Marketing Officer, March Networks. "Our financial solutions deliver unparalleled reliability and performance, and serve as future-proof investments able to support the intelligent video requirements of financial institutions for years to come."
